Whitney Cornelison

Whitney Cornelison became a registered nurse in 2010 and has been working with Dr. Cross, breast surgical oncologist,  since April 2013. She is very passionate about providing the highest level of patient care to our breast cancer community. She has taken the OCN certification exam prep course and plans to take her certification examination before the end of 2022. She has goals of continuing her certifications and education in all areas of oncology with a focus on breast surgical oncology.  As a surgical nurse, Whitney spends a lot of time educating and supporting patients through their cancer journey with the goal being the understand and feel comfortable with the steps in their cancer treatment process. We treat the patient as a collective providing them with individualized care.

She has been happily married for since 2006 and has a son Luke who plays high school baseball and a daughter Kailynn who dances, plays volleyball, and recently was accepted into the National Honors Society.  In addition, she has her fur children, Jake and Tank, both dachshunds, that bring much added joy to her life. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and watching her kids participate in their activities.
